The glass molded mechanically during production is made by applying a relief design to one of the two faces of the glass when it is subjected to the compression of the rollers; there are many molded glass and every year new ones are produced to meet an ever increasing demand.
In fact, that glass has been used for a long time in architecture and design, but only in recent years are they coming back strongly on the market for their retro but current plots. Stripes, squares, glitter, orange peel effect … these are just some of the textures you can find “impressed” on clear (mostly) or extra-clear crystals.
Many of these can be either mechanically tempered or laminated with safety films, but also with colored films, meshes and fabrics.
The most famous and used among the molded glasses are undoubtedly the ribbed glass, for example the fluted glass (with stripes of about 1.2 cm width), the prismasolar (with slightly smaller lines compared to the fluted but much more protruding) and the estriado or raywall (with very narrow stripes and one attached to the other).
In Vetreria Bazzanese we frequently use molded glass to create sliding glass doors, glass walls, wall coverings, glass furniture and much more.
