The 2019 edition of Arte Fiera, the historic fair of modern and contemporary art that began in Bologna in 1974, will take place from February 1st to 4th, paying increasing attention, ever since the last editions, to young artists.
Shared with this path is the collaboration of Vetreria Bazzanese with the artist collective Antonello Ghezzi, presented in 2019 Arte Fiera by the Bologna Art Gallery Spazio Testoni –www.spaziotestoni.it Pavilion 25 Stand B103 – in the solo exhibition Come tenere la testa fra le nuvole (How to hold your head in the clouds).
In particular, Vetreria Bazzanese offered the raw material and the technical support for the construction and installation of some works, including Autoritratto (Self-portrait): a glass sheet of dimensions 150×150 cm. on which was digitally reproduced a photographic image of Planet Earth taken by the Curiosity space probe directly from the surface of Mars, an image freely granted to Antonello Ghezzi by NASA.
In the images and in the video on this page, we have reported some steps of the digital printing on glass sheet of this work by Antonello Ghezzi exhibited for the first time in 2019 Arte Fiera.
